Plant Astragalus is native to northern China and Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. There are over 2000 varieties of Astragalus in the world, but Chinese Astragalus has been the most studied and subjected to research in botany, and pharmacology.

Astragalus contains many active elements, such as polysaccharides, flavonoids, triterpene glycosides, trace minerals and amino acids.

Medicinal properties of Astragalus:

According to researchers, medicinal plant Astragalus has favorable effects on the immune system. It is the best immunological prevention of influenza.
Laboratory research on some of the root extracts showed a protective effect in liver cells subjected to certain poisons. An anti-inflammatory also been found.
Astragalus also contains a flavonoid called astragalin, which is a powerful antioxidant.



Astragalus is useful in cases of:

- Impaired immune system
